CALLED, GIFTED AND SENT PROGRAM   Effective October 2018, the Diocese of London has revised its: ‘Called, Gifted and Sent Program’.   This revision affects all volunteers in every parish in the Diocese.   The Diocese deems that it is very important that we protect all of our children and our elderly from those in our communities who may place our parish and our Church into a situation of abuse. Furthermore, be assured that every priest also goes through this process.   We really need our volunteers and others to assist us in our parishes, while at the same time we are following the Diocesan plan to ensure everyone with whom they come in contact with a “safe” environment.   Finally, we do not want to offend our volunteers, however, if those volunteering who do not wish to complete this necessary paperwork, then we, unfortunately, will have to ask them to step aside.   In the near future all volunteers will be called upon to complete the necessary paperwork involved with this updated screening process.   Please note that every volunteer will be contacted by: Ann-Marie Becke. Ann-Marie is our new Coordinator for our Called, Gifted & Sent Program. She will review and update all volunteer files. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation with this matter.
